$1.6 Million Verdict – Scaffolding Slip and Fall

We recently tried and won a case for a man working on a construction site who slipped down a scaffolding ladder head first. He sustained a closed head injury, mild traumatic brain injury with cognitive impairment, as well as psychological and emotional distress with personality disturbances. The accident transpired from the scaffolding being improperly constructed, along with the scaffolding usually wet as a result of soapy water being sprayed to reduce ambient water particles.

The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff in the amount of $1.6 million. C. S. v. Metro-North Commuter Railroad Co., Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Trio Asbestos Removal Corp.
