The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recently ordered the recall of certain Chinese-made tires because they are defective and prone to fail (by coming apart) at highway speeds. 

The tires involved in the recall were manufactured by the Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co. and sold under the names Westlake, Telluride, Compass and YKS for use on light trucks, vans and sport utility vehicles.  We have handled many tire tread separation failure cases over the years and have several in suit now.
