Tires are made up of numerous components and layers and often fail when there is an incomplete bond between any of the layers. Incomplete bonds are caused by faulty manufacturing practices such as using aged rubber stock that has lost it tack, or allowing foreign substances to be introduced to the components during the tire-building process.
Tires that separate at highway speeds, as opposed to simply going flat, often cause loss of vehicle control and severe crashes. These crashes often occur at high speed and the driver has little or no control in order to avoid major obstacles. Unfortunately, these crashes are common in popular sport utility vehicles and can often cause them to rollover.
Our firm has been been involved with several tread separation cases and currently have another in suit in progress. Tire companies are difficult to deal with and having experienced legal counsel on your side can greatly improve the chances of getting a resolution. If you have been injured due to an auto accident or SUV rollover caused by tire tread separation, contact our firm at no charge to learn more about your legal rights.
