Lawmakers Upset With Heparin Investigation

GOP lawmakers have recently said they are "very troubled" by the FDA's handling of the investigation into the contaminated heparin imported from China in 2008. They are concerned that much more could have been done to find out which parties were responsible in distribution of the heparin causing at least 80 deaths and many more injuries.

The majority of heparin is manufactured in China from pig intestines, and the 2008 heparin in question was dangerous as a result of a cost cutting measure by a company or companies in China. Our firm is deeply involved in the Heparin Multi District Litigation on behalf of our clients who were affected by the tainted heparin.
