Yaz/Yasmin Plaintiff Approved to Use 10 Discovery Documents to Petition FDA

A progressive step was made this November towards taking action against birth control products containing drospirenone. A judge in the Southern District of Illinois has allowed 10 documents to be classified in the petition against the drug company that makes Yaz and Yasmin products (Bayer) to the FDA. This is a movement that is pushing for drugs that have drospirenone in them to be labeled with a warning or be restricted. It should be noted that Bayer did not contest the plaintiff's right to petition the FDA. Our firm is litigating many cases, including two "bellwether" cases in New Jersey state court, also known as lead cases. We have access to experts and litigation documents to prepare us for litigation against Bayer.
