Epstein Child Sex Abuse Lawsuits

Attorneys Representing Clients in New York

On August 10th, 2019, at the Special Housing Unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, Jeffrey Epstein was found dead from what appeared to be a suicidal hanging. He was facing criminal prosecution in conjunction with accusations, allegations, and mounting evidence of deep involvement with a child sex abuse ring on a global scale. Epstein’s death ended the prosecution against him, but it was highly suspicious to many. So suspicious that his brother disputed the findings and hired forensic Dr. Michael Baden pathologist who found that Epstein’s injuries at the time of his death suggested homicidal strangulation, not suicide.

Today, many believe that Epstein was murdered by associates and friends connected to his suspected child sex abuse operations in an attempt to silence him from testifying in court about their involvement. Some of those suspected of foul play include Prince Andrew of Great Britain, former President Bill Clinton, and current President Donald Trump.

Despite Epstein’s untimely passing, the cases against his child sex abuse organization and those involved continue. Rheingold Giuffra Ruffo Plotkin & Hellman LLP in New York, New York is currently hearing from clients who were abused when younger and in connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s operations. Trump’s & Clinton’s Possible Connections

In the wake of his death, many powerful figures attempted to extricate themselves from any past association with Epstein and his criminal activities involving minor girls who were brought to Epstein and sexually exploited and assaulted. Two of these most notable figures are Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.

Donald Trump was quoted in a 2002 issue of New York magazine as saying he knew Epstein for 15 years, thought he was “terrific,” and that they both shared an infatuation with beautiful women, “many of them […] on the younger side.” Bill Clinton is known to have traveled internationally at least four times with Epstein in 2002 and 2003, a time believed to be a high point in the child sex abuse ring’s operations.

Both Trump and Clinton have tried to distance themselves from Epstein following his arrest by claiming they did not like him and never knew of his criminal activities. Yet both Trump and Clinton have been accused of unwanted sexual advances by several women, albeit adult women. The unclear pasts of both men have kept them near the center of many investigations surrounding Epstein’s suspected child sex abuse ring and his unusual death.

Arrest & Indictment for Child Sex Abuse

Epstein was arrested at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on July 6th, 2019, after arriving back in the United States from France. Federal prosecutors charged him the following Monday. Per the indictment, “over the course of many years, Jeffrey Epstein, the defendant, sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida, among other locations.”

The indictment also noted that that “in order to maintain and increase his supply of victims, Epstein also paid certain of his victims to recruit additional girls to be similarly abused.” The prosecution alleged that he sexually assaulted girls as young as 14 years old.

Federal prosecutors searched Epstein’s New York City home following his arrest in 2019. According to the New York Times, “During the search of his townhouse on Saturday, investigators seized photographs of nude underage girls.” Epstein pleaded not guilty. He was denied bail and remained incarcerated until his death in August 2019.

Epstein’s Fascination with Transhumanism & Control

In addition to building a global social network, Epstein used his vast wealth – estimated at the time of his death to be more than $500,000,000 – to influence scientific research. According to a journalistic investigation from The New York Times, Epstein was involved in transhumanism research projects and a plan to impregnate 20 women and house them at a property he owned in New Mexico. Transhumanism is the broad term for the study of human population manipulation through genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, and other evolving sciences.

Jeffrey Epstein was a math teacher, investment consultant, and owner of J. Epstein and Co. whose marketing goals were to attract and retain clients with portfolios of $1 billion or more. He also seems to have had an insatiable passion for wealth, power, and the ability to control or manipulate others for his own ends, possibly including the fulfillment of his own deviant sexual urges.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s Apparent Involvement

One of those who helped him recruit underage girls was Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently under arrest and facing criminal conspiracy charges related to her association with Epstein. Maxwell was arrested on July 2nd, 2020 at her secluded home in Bradford, New Hampshire.

Maxwell has been formally charged with six counts, including:

  • Transporting a minor for the purposes of criminal sexual activity
  • Enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts
  • Perjury
  • And more conspiracy charges

While Epstein pleaded guilty to a felony charge of solicitation of prostitution involving a minor in 2018, served time in prison, and was required to register as a sex offender, this is the first time Maxwell has faced charges related to sexual abuse or trafficking.

Maxwell’s indictment reads in part:

  • From at least in or about 1994, up to and including at least in or about 1997, Maxwell assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18. The victims were as young as 14 years old when they were groomed and abused by Maxwell and Epstein, both of whom knew that certain victims were in fact under the age of 18.”

Maxwell, a British socialite and the daughter of publisher Robert Maxwell, met Epstein in the ’90s. She was his companion for years and helped to introduce him to many of her high-profile friends including Queen Elizabeth’s son, Prince Andrew. Per the indictment, “In particular, between in or about 1994 and in or about 1997, Maxwell was in an intimate relationship with Epstein and was also paid by Epstein to manage his various properties.”

While Epstein was the ringleader, Maxwell and possibly others assisted him in furthering his criminal activity. Maxwell’s case may well lead to new information about Epstein’s criminal enterprise as well as expose others who helped Epstein commit crimes against children.

Giving Survivors a Chance at Justice

Although Epstein escaped justice, Maxwell faces a potentially lengthy prison sentence. However, both of them are liable for civil damages apart from the criminal charges. Civil justice is not thwarted by the death of the individual, in this case, Epstein. Survivors of abuse may seek justice by holding Epstein’s estate liable for his actions.
