New Sex Charges for NYC Urologist Darius Paduch

By Thomas P. Giuffra

Darius Paduch, a New York City urologist who had worked at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and Northwell Health, now faces new federal criminal charges involving the sexual abuse of multiple patients under the guise of medical treatment.

What We Know About the Charges So Far

Paduch is already facing 7 civil lawsuits from former male patients for sexual abuse. These new federal charges allege the urologist forced them to masturbate while watching pornography. Paduch is alleged to have used sex toys on the victims as well. Additionally, the federal indictment states that Paduch performed unnecessary rectal exams on patients without using latex gloves. He would then send them inappropriate and sexually-oriented text messages. The indictment filed in Manhattan covers the period from 2015-19. Paduch is charged with the inducement of minor victims to travel to engage in unlawful sexual activity and related crimes for which he faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
