Sean “P Diddy” Combs will serve a 50 month prison term. However, he has already served 12 months so he will most likely only serve another 3 years.
No one appears pleased with the sentence. Defense lawyers claim that the judge acted as the 13th juror while many on the prosecution side believe the sentence was too light given the fact that he could have been sentenced to the maximum of 10 years for his crimes. In addition, Combs will have to pay a $500,000 fine.
The jury acquitted Combs of the top counts of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have sent him to prison for life. So, the sentence is not all that surprising but it is somewhat disappointing given Combs’ violent and reckless behavior that ruined lives and terrorized both men and women.
