In 2013, in New York City, there have been approximately 15,000 pedestrians and cyclists injured as a result of motorists and 155 of them were killed. The most recent fatality occurred Sunday morning January 19, 2014 when a 45 year old man, from Manhattan's East Harlem, was killed after he was trapped under a B15 city bus while riding his bike on W. 125th St. near Lenox Avenue.
