Alexander Brothers Found Guilty on All County of Sex Trafficking

By Thomas P. Giuffra

In a verdict that could lead to life sentences in prison, a jury has found the three brothers guilty of on every count they each faced. Their sentencing is scheduled for August 6.

The verdict followed a month-long trial during which the jury heard emotional and graphic testimony of how the three brothers used their money, power, and influence to traffic women and brutalize them. In some cases, the brothers — Tal, 39, and Oren and Alon, twins who are 38 — used drugs to incapacitate and rape their victims, the prosecution said.

The women described attacks that occurred after they were invited to vacation locales including the Hamptons, a Caribbean cruise and a ski trip in Aspen, Colorado. More than 60 women say they were raped by one or more of the brothers.

Oren and Tal Alexander were brokers at real estate powerhouse Douglas Elliman before starting their own firm, Official. Alon Alexander worked at the family’s private security firm.

Besides the criminal case, the trio faced about two dozen lawsuits, including one filed Thursday by Tracy Tutor, a star of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” on Bravo. She alleges Oren Alexander drugged and assaulted her in a restaurant bathroom while she was in New York City for a real estate event.

When those lawsuits first began being filed, multiple women came forward claiming they had also been sexually harassed or assaulted, and that the brothers’ misconduct with women had been an open secret in the real estate world for years.

Sadly, sex trafficking is not an infrequent crime as we are learning from the Epstein files and subsequent depositions as well as this trial. The trauma caused by such crimes often lasts a lifetime and fundamentally alters the trajectory of a life. I have been representing survivors of sexual abuse and sex trafficking for the entirety of my legal career. I would be pleased to assist you if you are a survivor of sex trafficking or sexual abuse.
