The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Redline D640
bicycles due to the risk that the head
frame can separate from the frame causing rider to lose control and crash. The
recall includes 200 bikes. There have been 8 reports of the failures prompting
the CSPC to take swift action.
This recall involves all 2008 Redline D640 bicycles. The bicycles were sold in black and have aluminum frames. "REDLINE" is written down the frame's tube. The model number is written on the frame's top tube.
The recalled Redline D640 Bicycles were sold at bicycle specialty stores nationwide from December 2007 to May 2010 for about $900.
