Bicycle Maker Recalls Approximately 12,000 Bicycles

Specialized Bicycle Components, Inc. is recalling approximately 12,000 bicycles due to a defective front fork. This announcement was made in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Thus far, four reports of front forks breaking have been reported resulting in serious injuries.
This recall covers 2008 and 2009 models of Globe Bicycles for men and women. The bicycles were sold from July 2007 through July 2012.
