In a recent article story found in Timesunion.com, nurse Sarina Francis, 36, was arrested about a week ago for being involved in the physical and mental abuse of an elderly woman at Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. When Francis took the elderly woman to her room on August 17, 2013, the woman became aggressive. Francis allegedly fractured the woman's wrist by twisting it behind the woman, hit the woman with her hand and also hit her with a pair of urine-soaked briefs. She was charged with a second-degree count of endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and two counts of willful violation of health laws. Francis has been arraigned in Albany City Court and released.
