In April 2011, Plaintiff's car was sideswiped by Defendant's car, while driving on the New England Thruway in the Bronx. Plaintiff's car spun out eventually hitting the concrete median. Plaintiff sued both driver and the owner of the vehicle, claiming the driver acted negligently while operating the vehicle. Defendant Driver claimed Plaintiff was the one who initiated the collision.
Plaintiff sustained injuries to her neck and back, including herniated and bulging discs.
Before the suit ever reached trial, the parties reached a settlement, where Defendant's insurance company paid the entire settlement of $905,000.
